This family came to the United States from Sweden in 1886 and settled in Loomis, Nebraska. John was a building contractor. In June 1900, the family lived in Chicago, Illinois where John worked as a carpenter and in April 1910, John Bodine, now a widower, lived in Chicago with his 2 sons. Illinois death records record the death of John Person Bodine, son of Per Person and Wane, both natives of Sweden. John Bodine's occupation was that of a cabinet maker. John and Minnie Bodine were buried in Forest Home Cemetery, Chicago.
