On 12 Sept 1918, August Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Duluth, St. Louis County, Minnesota. He reported he was born 3 March 1881 in Sweden, worked as a time checker for the Minnesota Steel Company and was married to Lucy Bodine. In 1920-1930 he lived with his family in Duluth, working in 1930 in a department store selling linoleum and shoes. He immigrated to America in 1888.
