Ray Bodine left high school and began work with the Corps of Engineers on a job that was supposed to have been temporary. He ended up with them for his complete career. He was disabled by cancer for many years before his death by a heart attack in 1974. See State of Texas Certificate of Death No. 1974-38962 for Calvin Ray Bodine. Informant was Mrs. Johnnie Bodine (Wife).

BODINE, Calvin Ray, 64, of Temple, died Wednesday. Services 10 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Temple. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Johnnie Bodine of Temple; daughter Jan Bodine of Waco; brother, Tom Bodine of Whitney; sister, Mrs. Marvin Rampy of Dallas.
