On 5 June 1917, Arthur L. Bodine registered for the World War 1 draft in Pittsburgh.  He reported he was born 12 Oct 1895 in Pleasantville and was married.  In 1920-1930, he lived with his wife and son in Pittsburgh employed as a laborer in 1920 and as a salesman in 1930.  In 1942, he registered for the World War II draft as a resident of Pittsburgh.  He was aged 46 years and unemployed.  He listed a Mrs. Marie Gaurman as his next of kin.  Neither his wife nor his son are mentioned as his survivors in his 1953 obituary.
1940 Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., PA:  Theresa BODINE 54 PA married, Arthur 23 PA son laborer WPA road project.
Teresa Redley is the daughter of Sebastian and Elizabeth (Knorr) Redley with whom she was living 1900 in Allegheny County, Penn.

     The funeral service for Arthur Bodine, 57, of Pittsburgh, formerly of Pleasantville, who died Aug. 10, was held in Pittsburgh on Aug. 13.  Attending the service was Mrs. Harry Bodine of Titusville and Mr. and Mrs. William C. Brecht and daughter Carol, of Oil City.  Mr. Bodine is survived by two brothers, Maxwell and Fred Bodine of Pittsburgh; and three sisters, Mrs. Lulu Rogers of New York City, Mrs. Zula Reidenbach and Mrs Mabel Rhinehart of Los Angeles, Calif.  A brother, Harry A. Bodine of Titusville, died July 6, 1953.  [Note:  Although not named, it is evident that his son, Arthur A. Bodine, was living.]
