From the Kentucky Death Certificate of Emerson Bennet Bodine, single, farmer, born 26 Sept 1860 in Logan Co., Kentucky, son of Charles W. & Sarah (Whitescarver) Bodine; died 12 Dec 1939 in rural Logan County; buried in Jarrett Cemetery. Hellen Bodine of Russellville, informant.

Mr. Bennett Bodine died suddenly, Tuesday morning, Dec. 12, at his home near Eply. His death was a great shock to his neighbors and friends. In early life he professed religion and united with Greenridge Baptist Church. The funeral services were conducted Thursday afternoon by Rev. E. E. Spickard and the burial was in the Jarrett cemetery. Surviving are three brothers and four sisters. In the hour of their bereavement, relatives and friends tender their sympathy.
